I know that I am a healthy person. I am quite conscious with the food I eat and I am very athletic. I have regular sports and exercise. But then one day, I felt some pain in my right big toe near the ball of the right foot. I was out of the country and I immediately called my brother long distance. I suspected gout because my brother just had his first gout attack a few weeks ago and the symptoms he told me were very similar to what I experienced that day. However, my brother told me that mine might not be gout since I still can walk and bear the pain. So, I did not take it seriously and I just bore the pain for a few days until the pain went away.

After 2 months, I experienced the most painful physical experience of my life! I had a gout attack in the middle of the night on my right ankle. I was crying and shouting in pain and I could not even move. The pain lasted for around 6 to 7 days and I was not able to go to work.
